Unleashed Women Leadership Fund is charity partner of the Women in Finance Awards

We are delighted to announce that The Hunger Project’s Unleashed Women Leadership Fund is the charity partner of the Women in Finance Awards!

Despite making up more than half the finance workforce, women continue to dramatically lag behind their male counterparts in leadership roles.

“Women account for 23 per cent of board members and just 14 per cent of executive committee members across UK-regulated financial services companies. But this is nowhere near ideal.”

The Women in Finance Awards is the finance industry’s largest diversity initiative, recognising the high-achievers, advocates, and role models for women in the sector.

The event, organised by GrowthBusiness.co.uk and What Investment magazine will bring together key stakeholders to raise awareness of the sector’s diversity problem, further the gender balance agenda, as well as to celebrate inclusion, leadership and finance excellence.

Unleashed Women

The Hunger Project’s Unleashed Women Leadership Fund is a sisterhood of women committed to going beyond themselves, just like the inspirational women The Hunger Project works with, who are ending poverty in their communities, stopping child marriage in its tracks, challenging the status quo, and creating a better future for themselves and their families.

Our purpose is to bring women across the UK, to lift each other up and unite as a powerful collective. To unleash their potential to make a difference in the world. These women will commit to fundraise or donate either £500 or £1,000 over the course of 12 months. The money raised will have the power to change train, educate and mobilise our female partners in Africa, South Asia and Latin America.

Unite with our current cohort of unleashed women who have already made their pledge to take a stand for women globally. We welcome anyone that wants to be part of this sisterhood and is ready to commit to ending world hunger by 2030.
